Editor’s Note: The City of Rosemount’s weekly update appears on the city’s website. Patch will feature news from the weekly update.

Rosemount residents went to the polls in droves last week.

City election officials say 84 percent of Rosemount’s registered voters—12,847 in all—turned in ballots for the Nov. 6 general election.

Looking inside those numbers, nearly 11 percent of the voters filled out their ballots in advance. And, 16 percent registered to vote on Nov. 6.

Among the offices city residents voted for was City Council. Winning council seats were Vanessa Olson Demuth and Jeff Weisensel.

The City Council will certify the vote at its Nov. 14 meeting.

Other items in this week’s update include:
• A review of the council’s Nov. 5 meeting.
• Cable TV survey.
• New sandwich shop in the Rosemount Village shopping development.
